A Window into Our World
Welcome to our website; we hope it provides a glimpse into the vibrant life of our school. Nestled close to the Oxfordshire countryside in Carterton, Edith Moorhouse Primary School serves a wonderful community of both service and non-service families. We are incredibly proud to call this "home" and consider our staff, children, and parents as one strong, supportive family.
A Leadership Rooted in Experience
Having been appointed as Headteacher in September 2024 after serving as the school’s Deputy Headteacher, I am honoured to lead this community. My approach to leadership is deeply personal. Before entering the teaching profession, I served for nearly 16 years in the Royal Air Force. As a military wife and a mother who raised three children within that environment, I share many of the lived experiences of our service families.
My time in the RAF instilled in me a strong sense of self-discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities I believe are essential for creating a positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
