The policy of the River Learning Trust is that any money owed to the school should be settled when requested. To ensure that all Parents understand the expectations of when different items should be paid, we will be introducing the below terms and conditions from 23rd April 2019.
Payment in full must be received by 12pm on the Friday before the next holiday club. The school reserves the right to withdraw any future bookings until all arrears are settled in full.
All fees for private places for the term must be settled in full by the last day of that term. No further private place bookings will be allowed until fees are settled in full.
All extended care fees must be paid for by the end of the following month. For example, September’s fees must be settled in full by the end of October. The school reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a place if payment is not received in full when requested.
All fees for residential trips must be paid for in full by the due date given. In signing the booking form, the parent/carer agrees to pay for the full cost of their child’s place. No refunds will be given (either deposit or full fees) in the event that a child/parent or carer decides that they no longer wish to take up the place. The school reserves the right to withdraw the place on the trip if payment is not received by the date requested.
Should arrears for any items on the account not be settled in full when requested, the school reserves the right to withdraw your child’s place and begin debt recovery proceedings.
Parents who wish their child to have a school dinner should hold a credit on their parent pay account to the minimum value of £11.00 (Just over the cost of 5 lunches). Please note that this does not apply to children who are in receipt of free school meals or Universal free meals (Reception, Year 1 and 2).
If your child only has a meal on special occasions e.g. Christmas dinner, you will not be required to keep an £11 credit on your account. We would ask that this is paid promptly at the time of the event.
If a parent has a negative balance, they will receive a text reminder to top up their dinner account.
If no payment is made within two weeks they will receive a follow up letter requesting that the arrears are settled in full immediately, and a credit is added to the account should they wish to book further dinners.
If no payment is made after a further two weeks the school reserves the right to initiate debt recovery proceedings.
From time to time the school may offer after-school clubs which incur a small charge to cover the cost of materials. Parents/carers must pay the fees associated with the club before the club starts on the due date given. The school reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a place at the club if fees are not settled in full when requested.
If you have difficulty paying any money owed, please contact the school office to discuss. We will endeavour to help where we can, but we ask that any concerns are raised with us as soon as you are contacted regarding the debt.
Welcome to Edith Moorhouse School. Please call the main office if you cannot find what you need on our website.
